Central Wayne Regional Authority owns and operates a wastewater treatment plant in Honesdale Borough, and a sewage collection system in Honesdale Borough, Texas Township and Cherry Ridge Township. The Authority is looking for a reliable, self-motivated person for a utility maintenance position. The successful applicant would receive on the job training, which would eventually lead to obtaining an operator’s license for the wastewater treatment plant. This position is responsible for the maintenance and repair of sewer lines and supporting facilities. Applicant requirements:

• Minimum age of 18
• Competent in high school algebra
• Able to lift a minimum of 75 pounds and stand for long periods of time
• Perform manual labor
• Be able to follow directions and work without supervision
• Be willing to work in all weather conditions
• A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Demonstrate initiative and resourcefulness

 The position is full-time with nights and weekends as needed. The position includes a full benefit package following a 60-day probation period. Salary depends upon experience.
