The Member Engagement & Marketing Specialist is more than just a job—it’s an opportunity to become a driving force behind the vitality and visibility of The Chamber of the Northern Poconos. This energetic, relationship-focused, and marketing-savvy professional will lead our efforts to grow Chamber membership, build community connections, and create exciting content that keeps our message front and center.

What You’ll Do:
Membership Development & Community Engagement
- Be the welcoming face of the Chamber—cultivate relationships with current and prospective members
- Drive member recruitment through outreach, networking, and creative lead generation
- Discover and pitch partnership opportunities, sponsorships, and value-added programs
- Attend and represent the Chamber at events, mixers, ribbon cuttings, and regional functions
- Act as a connector—link businesses to resources, opportunities, and each other
Marketing & Social Media
- Tell our story—develop content and campaigns that showcase the Chamber’s value and vibrancy
- Create and schedule social media posts across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.)
- Design flyers, event graphics, and promotional materials (using Canva, Adobe Suite, etc.)
- Keep our website and digital content fresh, relevant, and engaging
- Support email marketing, press releases, and community updates
Strategy & Reporting
- Collaborate with staff and committees to align messaging with the Chamber’s mission and voice
- Generate monthly membership and marketing reports to track growth and engagement
- Present updates and insights to the Board of Directors as needed
- Support the execution of Chamber programs, events, and initiatives
- Cross-train with Chamber staff for a collaborative, all-hands-on-deck culture
What You Bring:
Personal Qualities
- Outgoing, enthusiastic, and comfortable talking to anyone—from business owners to local leaders
- A self-starter who can juggle multiple tasks with creativity and a positive attitude
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to follow through on commitments
- Passion for supporting local businesses and building a stronger community
Preferred Experience & Skills
- Background in sales, marketing, communications, or community engagement
- Confident using social media platforms, Microsoft Office, and WordPress
- Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or other design tools
- Strong writing, speaking, and presentation skills
- Knowledge of Wayne and Pike Counties and regional business landscape is a big plus
