Responsible for a variety of duties relating to the opening and processing of new accounts, the cross-selling of institution services to existing and prospective customers; providing support to other sales personnel; participate in various methods to educate customers on our products and services. In addition to working in a virtual setting, this position requires the Virtual Banker I to assist with onsite staffing needs one week every other month at branches located within 45 minutes from home.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Minimum 2 years banking experience preferred; previous teller, customer service, deposit operations and sales experience preferred.
Skills: Must possess excellent customer relations skills, strong communication skills; proficient keyboarding skills, above average technical abilities; excellent telephone skills; must be knowledgeable of all bank products and services and be able to cross-sell services, must present a professional demeanor to clearly communicate and demonstrate how to use our products through YouTube videos, podcasts and chat rooms.
The successful candidate must be able to work a flexible schedule which will vary based on department and branch needs Monday – Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Must be able to work some Friday evenings and some Saturdays.
The successful candidate must have a willingness to learn aspects of the Deposit Operations Department.
